About the Author

     Since her retirement as a high school guidance counselor, Jennifer Rae Trojan, who sometimes writes as Jennifer Rae, worked with various organizations serving as a puppy raiser, puppy sitter, volunteer with animal assisted therapy and most recently with an animal rescue organization. In addition to these activities, Jennifer gives presentations at libraries, in schools and to community groups regarding the journeys the dogs and how their roles have changed over the years.

     Through her experiences with the dogs, Jennifer has written five books dealing with their journeys toward assistance, therapy work and adoption to a forever home. All of her stories are written from the viewpoint of the dog…they are the story tellers.     

     Her only non-fiction book, Letting Go of the Never-Agains, A Journey of Love and Loss, deals with the fairy tale romance and loss of her loving husband of almost forty-five years to cancer.
